On October 7, 2021, the Town Council passed a new Local Ordinance requiring the registration of vacant or foreclosed properties pursuant to O.C.G.A § 44-14-14. A copy of the ordinance is available for review online.
The purpose of this ordinance is to promote the health, safety, and welfare of our citizens by providing a method for tracking vacant/foreclosed properties that may become nuisances or safety hazards. The Town will use the registry to maintain contact with property owners and hold them accountable for the upkeep of their properties.
