Fayette County voters approved a Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) during the March 21, 2017 election, which imposed a 1 cent sales tax, the proceeds of which are distributed among Fayette County and its cities for approved projects. Tyrone's projected share of the revenue was $9,102,463.00.
