• The deadline to request an absentee ballot is Friday, June 5, 2026.

Microsoft will be hosting a community open house at Town Hall on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 from 4pm to 7pm. This is an opportunity to drop-in and speak with representatives from Microsoft, learn more about the project, and get your questions answered.

Please note that the entrance to Arrowood Road from Palmetto Road will be closed starting next Tuesday 04/14 for approximately 1 month for roundabout construction (weather-dependent). Palmetto Rd. and Spencer Lane traffic will still be open during this time through the roundabout. A detour plan is included below. Please note that traffic control with partial lane closures is scheduled along Jenkins Road near Royal Animal Refuge on Saturday, February 7th from 7:00AM to 8:00PM.
Utility workers will be cutting the road and utilizing street plates where necessary to allow traffic through. Full traffic stops may be necessary at times to shift equipment or open lanes and will be kept to a minimum. Please plan accordingly.

General Primary Election May 19, 2026
Advanced voting will be held at Town Hall beginning April 27th through May 15th, including two Saturdays.
The election is for several State positions, including Governor, Lt. Governor, and Secretary of State. Election Day is May 19th.
Please check your polling place for Election Day, at My Voter Page.com https://mvp.sos.ga.gov. The Tyrone polling location is at the Tyrone Library, at 143 Commerce Dr., on May 19th, if you choose not to vote in advance.

Downtown Tyrone is happy to announce the start of Food Trucks @ Shamrock! A weekly food truck pop-up at Shamrock Park. Starting September 12th, Shamrock Park will host a weekly food truck pop-up featuring local food truck vendors on Fridays and Saturdays from 11am-8pm.
Please follow the schedule for food truck offerings and any associated Town social media pages for updates.

Vendors please fill out the form on the main page to reserve space for lunch or dinner mealtimes per the calendar on this page. Please note that there are four (4) spaces per mealtime with reservations limited to first-come, first-served. Submissions will be subject to review to limit major duplicate food types and blackout dates.

As part of the SPLOST referendum passed by voters in 2023, improvements to Shamrock Park via multiple capital projects were planned including a new multi-purpose Pavilion & Stage for the Great Lawn! Please see the final designs and site plan for this Pavilion to be completed by September of this year.
